Here in the heart of Yellow Springs, Ohio is a return to
the idea of the old fashioned plant shop. Located in Kings Yard right behind Ye Ole Trail Tavern is The Village
Greenery.
As you stroll around the shop you will find all sorts of
plants for your home. Everything
from the very care intensive exotic to the more common and easy to grow foliage
plant can be found here. You will
feel immersed by the lush foliage and surrounded by wonderful, mood appropriate
music. There is a great selection
of hand-made pottery on the shelves, all made by folks from Ohio (a few from
Yellow Springs). Pick out a plant
and pick out a planter and let's do the transplant right here in the store on
our comfortable potter's table. We
will use the best, all organic potting soil you can find anywhere ensuring your
plant and pot combination will go home and look its best for many years to
come.

With the exception of total neglect to water,
the fact that a house plant is not thriving has less to do with your ability to
keep something well than you think.
It has more to do with what plant you put in what location. When you got that last plant, the one
that didn't make it, did anyone talk with you about your decision to make sure
the right plant was going to be in the right conditions? Most likely not. Most houseplants these days are
purchased with very little in the way of guidance about what works and
where.
